    M.O.R.E. Dead Pedal install

If like me you own a JK with an automatic transmission, you probably find there is no comfortable place to rest your left foot while driving. This install fits into one of those, "Why didn't Jeep think of this one?" categories. Mountain Off Road Enterprises has come up with an inexpensive, super-easy-to-install solution that I think will suddenly be on everyone's wish list...assuming they have an automatic. Following is the super easy install that took me all of about 5 minutes...including stopping to take pictures:

    Here is what is included:

And here is the empty spot which is soon to be filled with the pedal:

Make sure you use something to prop the door open and also keep it from hitting the rear view mirror while you unconnect the door electrical and the limit strap. Then remove the bolts that hold the limit strap bracket with a T30 torx socket:

Then remove the nuts that hold the 2 ground wires:

The Dead Pedal bracket then gets placed OVER the 2 ground bracket wires and studs (at first I removed the wires and the windshield wipers started up!) and loosely re-install the two nuts. The limit strap bracket then gets reinstalled with the new bolts and washers. Plug the electrical back in and re-install the limit straps and you are done:

The real test was sitting in the vehicle and putting your foot on the pedal...I found it to be in the perfect position! Enjoy.

I dropped one of these in a few months ago. It's right at the same distance and angle as the gas pedal, so your left leg and foot feel pretty natural with this pedal. I like it!

I had never thought about where i put my left foot before, but since reading this article yesterday me left foot has felt very out of place. I might need to invest in one of these guys.
